The Associate Degree in ICT is a shorter, higher professional education programme. In two years, you will prepare yourself for a specific ICT position. After that, you will be ready to enter the workforce.

Your programme
Choose the professional profile that suits you.
During the programme, you will work daily with your project group or individually at one of our locations and labs. Choose a profession in which you want to grow, learn everything about technology and apply it in real projects. Together, you will build the latest ICT applications such as smart systems, racing robots, healthcare applications, web shops or AR apps. You will do all this for real companies.
Structure of the next two years
At Associate degree ICT, you develop yourself without exams! Every six months, you complete a portfolio of your work, which is then assessed. Within your chosen professional profile, you take courses that match your interests. You do what you really enjoy!
The Associate degree ICT is a full-time programme offered in Eindhoven. The programme lasts two years and consists of four semesters. In the first semester, you will discover the breadth of the ICT field. You will then specialise so that you can start working in your chosen profession immediately after graduation.
Propaedeutic year
You will work and learn five days a week with other students in an Open ICT Lab, your study environment. In the first six months, you will explore the entire breadth of the ICT field. You will then choose your professional profile:

- Junior Data & BI Analyst

- Junior Ethical Hacker (Pentester)

After making your choice, you will continue to develop in one specific role. This will allow you to learn all the tasks and skills associated with that role and how to master them.
Second year
In the first semester of year 2, you will continue to develop within your specific role. Then it will be time to graduate. You will delve deeper into methods, techniques and tools that are relevant to your chosen assignment. In the final 12 weeks, you will demonstrate in your graduation assignment at a company that you are fully prepared to perform your profession in practice. At the end of the internship, you will present your results in a graduation session. After that, you will be ready to start working. It is also possible to continue on to the bachelor's programme ICT.
What will you learn?
- You will be introduced to the entire field of ICT. You will eleran the basics of topics such as AI, big data and low-code.
- You choose a profession that you like. Building websites, developing software, writing strategies or creating animations.
- You will work on your soft skills. You will learn to ask questions, brainstorm, collaborate and present.
Your future
After completing the programme, you can start working right away. Or you can continue studying for two more years to obtain the Bachelor's degree in ICT: Information and Communication Technology.
Start your career
With your diploma, you can immediately start working in a specific ICT profession. You can work in the Netherlands or abroad. Design apps, develop smart applications, create multimedia or ensure digital security in a company.
What kind of work can you do?
After this programme, you can work as:
- Junior Ethical Hacker - You protect companies against hackers, viruses and online fraud. You analyse risks, carry out tests and detect vulnerabilities. You also help users to use digital technology safely.
- Smart Industry Engineer - Use data and smart technology to improve the industry of tomorrow. You ensure that machines, systems and people work well together. Think of robots in a warehouse or sensors that quickly detect malfunctions.
- Junior Front End Developer - You design websites and apps with AI and smart tools. You work on user experiences, user interfaces and web development. In doing so, you immerse yourself in people, new techniques and design.
- Junior Data & BI Analist - You help companies move forward with their decision-making thanks to databases and smart software. This allows you to gain insights and share them with key stakeholders in the organisation. Think of dashboards for sales figures or AI models that predict which products will become popular.
- Digital Media Operator - You will work with a team of various experts in a virtual production studio. You will work on digital video productions, create 3D worlds and bring creations to life.
Do you want to study further?
Would you like to expand your knowledge even further? After the Associate degree ICT, you can easily move on to the ICT: Information and Communication bachelor's programme. You can then earn your bachelor's degree in two years.
