Introduction
Information
The Final International University Department of Architecture was founded in 2017. Its undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Science honors degree is taught in English. The program has been proposed to educate the professional conceptual thinkers and skilled architects who have ethical and critical thinking standards, to be able to increase the awareness of the society by considering cultural and environmental values. The aim is to fosterage an ability to develop a systematic approach to problems, to create reliable designs for a building or a city in a different dimension.
Curriculum
Graduation Requirements
The Architecture Undergraduate degree program comprises 180 credits of full-time study which must be completed. In order to graduate, students are required to have a minimum cumulative average of 2.00 out of a possible total of 4.00.
ECTS (European Credit Transfer System)
FIU’s credit allocation system has also been carefully aligned with the European Credit Transfer System on the basis of 1 ECTS credit requiring 25 hours of student work both inside and outside formal classes.
A four-year FIU degree is, therefore, equivalent to 240 ECTS credits, or approximately 30 ECTS credits per semester.
Over the course of a full calendar year, in order to meet program requirements, it is expected that a student would therefore need to study 1500 hours, including classes, home study, and holiday study.
Individual courses are not currently assigned ECTS credit values, but departments will advise on equivalences and priorities.
Diploma
Students graduating from the program are awarded a BBA in Architecture.
Program Outcome
Department aims to achieve international recognition as the best school of architecture in the Mediterranean region by providing highly qualified expertise and updated methods. Improving the quality, increasing the motivation, cooperation and diversity are targeting to enrich a multidisciplinary education which is embracing both the humanities and the sciences.
