Introduction

Human Enhancement and Ethics

The focus of this course is on products that extend the body's life and work environment. These include, for example, intelligent exoskeletons as carrying aids or technologies in the field of AI/Brain-ComputerInterface/Augmented Reality "as a human's third hand". Sensor technology, bionics and digitalization are essential pacesetters. Students develop an integrated understanding of technological, biological, ethical, social and regulatory principles with regard to the question of how concrete human options for action can - and should - be expanded through technical products.
