The food of the future should be of high quality, contribute to people's health and be produced sustainably at the same time. This requires a good understanding of nutrition and the scientific and technical background of food production. This training enables graduates to develop healthy and sustainable food.

Your first year at Campus Wels
With this new feature, we want to make starting your studies easier and more flexible for you. During your first year of study, you will also have the opportunity to try out the sister courses in Agricultural Technology and Management and Bio- and Environmental Engineering and - if you wish - you can easily switch after the end of the second semester without losing any time or losing any scholarships.
First year optionally in English or German
As part of the international "Green Science" program, students of the "Agricultural Technology and Management", "Bio- and Environmental Engineering" and "Food Technology and Nutrition" programs can complete their first year of study in either English or German.
Important facts
Graduates manage, secure, develop and improve the production of food. In doing so, they take nutritional and food law criteria into account. The field of application also lies in the research and development of new foods as well as in quality assurance and quality control in the entire food sector. The knowledge in the field of nutrition and raw materials also makes the graduates contact persons for both product developers and for Marketing .
