Introduction

The Graduate Program in Agroecosystems at UFS (NEREN) (http://www.posgraduacao.ufs.br/neren) aims to train researchers at the Academic Master's level to conduct studies and research in: i) Plant health, ii) Phytotechnics and Plant physiology, iii) Management and recovery of agroecosystems and iv) Genetic resources and Plant breeding. The Master Course in Agroecosystems at UFS addresses production in a sustainable manner, promoting the improvement of existing technologies and the practice of new agricultural technological processes. The Program will award a Master of Science degree and has the following specific objectives:

a) To train qualified personnel for the development of scientific research and higher education aimed at production in agroecosystems;

b) Encourage research in the area of ​​agro-ecosystem production;

c) Produce, disseminate and apply knowledge about production in agroecosystems in the economic and cultural reality of the country, with a view to exchanging experiences with other regions of the world.
