Key Summary
About: This BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance programme at First City University College teaches accounting, auditing, taxation and finance, aligned to industry and professional standards. Students complete internships for practical experience. Graduates receive full ACCA exemption from fundamental papers and seven CIMA paper exemptions; they can apply for CIM affiliate status at a discounted fee. The programme develops communication, teamwork, leadership, entrepreneurial, social and problem solving skills and supports progression to a Master in Business Administration with alumni tuition rates.
Career Outcomes: Graduates can work in corporate accounting, audit, taxation, retail banking, investment banking, wealth management, public sector accounting roles.
This program equips students with up-to-date knowledge and skills in accounting, auditing, taxation, and finance, which meets industry and professional standards.
Students will undergo internships where they will gain hands-on experience.
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK) grants our graduates FULL EXEMPTION from fundamental papers. Graduates only need to complete 4 more papers to obtain a full ACCA Qualification.
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA, UK) grants our graduates exemption from 7 papers for the CIMA Professional Qualification Examination.
Chartered Institute of Marketing grants our students apply to be CIM Affiliate at a discounted membership fee.
The program objectives are to:
