Aviation Technician - Avionics Maintenance (Co-op) is a two-year Ontario college diploma program. The Aviation Technician - Avionics Maintenance (Co-op) program is a Transport Canada-approved program (TC-2011-08-4128) with a cooperative education component. This program provides the knowledge and skills required to start a career in aircraft avionics maintenance, which is responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintenance of aircraft electrical and electronic systems such as communication, navigation, and data systems. This program covers all aspects of aircraft avionics systems used in general aviation, corporate, charter transport category aircraft, and helicopters.

Fanshawe’s Aviation Technician – Avionics Maintenance program prepares graduates for careers with Canadian aircraft maintenance and aircraft manufacturing organizations. It also provides 18 months of approved basic training credit towards the 48 months of experience required to obtain a Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license, 'E' Category.
