This program offers cutting-edge training in several security areas. You will examine a broad range of contemporary security challenges, such as terrorism, civil war and conflict, mass migration, energy supply security, cyber security and new technologies, and transnational and serious organized crime. You will also explore the intelligence and strategic approaches used by governmental and non-governmental actors to combat these threats.

IMSISS is an Erasmus Mundus joint-degree program which means you have a unique opportunity to study at and to receive a diploma awarded by three universities. You will spend the first semester at the University of Glasgow. For the second semester, you can choose between Dublin City University and the University of Trento. The third semester will bring you to Charles University in Prague.

IMSISS combines theoretical, applied, and empirical knowledge. You will have the opportunity to meet with and work alongside a range of academics and researchers from international partner universities and think tanks from around the world, as well as practitioner experts from governmental and industry security and defense sectors.

You will become knowledgeable, well-informed experts with the skills to not only react to crises but to identify and anticipate the threats and challenges that create crises. You will be ready to take positions in international institutions, administration and foreign services, NGOs or private companies.
