Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia

The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) is one of the leading engineering faculties in Indonesia. Located in Depok, West Java, part of the Greater Jakarta area, the Faculty benefits from proximity to government institutions, multinational companies, and industrial hubs.

The faculty was established in 1964, initially with Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering Departments as its pioneering academic units. Over the years, FTUI has grown into a comprehensive engineering faculty with a strong emphasis on education, research, and innovation.

As in 2026, Universitas Indonesia is ranked 189 worldwide and ranked 47 among other Asian universities based on the QS World University Rankings. Currently, the Faculty comprises eight departments, offering 13 study programs for bachelor’s degrees, 12 study programs for master’s degrees, 7 study programs for doctoral degrees, and 2 professional degrees.

The eight departments consist of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Architecture, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Interdisciplinary Engineering.

The Faculty of Engineering offers an International Undergraduate Program (IUP), locally known as Kelas Khusus Internasional (KKI), which is fully delivered in English. The program is designed to provide students with strong international exposure and global academic experience. To support our international program, we actively collaborate with overseas universities from various countries.

Our double and joint degree partners include Monash University, The University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, Curtin University, The University of Sydney, the University of Glasgow, the University of Birmingham, the University of Strathclyde, and the University of Duisburg-Essen, among others. For single-degree programs, we maintain partnerships for student exchange with institutions such as KTH Royal Institute of Technology, KAIST, and the Technical University of Munich, among others.

• Participants are high school graduates/equivalent who graduated a maximum of five years before they applied
• Graduated from nationally accredited high schools, o
• Completed General Certificate of Education (A Level), the Advanced International Certificate of Education at a Pass level or above, or
• Graduates of the Diploma Program of the European Baccalaureate, or
• Passed the international education qualifications equivalent to any of the above.
• Candidate should meet the English Proficiency requirement with a minimum score: EPT UI/ITP TOEFL min. 500 or iBT TOEFL min. 61 or IELTS min. 5.5 or Cambridge FCE and CAE min. 154.
