Key Summary
About: This course trains students to implement educational technology in pedagogically sound learning environments. It covers critical evaluation and pedagogical design for integrating technology in instruction and development of digital and nondigital learning resources for primary and secondary education. You'll design project-, problem- and inquiry-based collaborative activities, use open-ended tools, evaluate ICT tools' relevance, model digital-age work and learning, promote digital citizenship, and pursue professional growth.
Career Outcomes: Graduates can work as Instructional designers, Educational technologists, E‑learning specialists, ICT coordinators, Curriculum developers, Teacher leaders. They'll support professional development, resource sharing across communities of practice, and school- or district-level technology leadership.
This course is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills and experience in implementing educational technology into a pedagogically sound learning environment. This course also emphasizes the critical evaluation and pedagogical design aspects of integrating technology in instruction. Students will develop and use digital and nondigital teaching- learning resources using technology tools appropriate in various subject areas in the Primary and Secondary level. Further, the course will provide opportunities for students to use technology tools to develop project-based collaborative activities and share resources among communities of practice.
