Introduction
OVERVIEW:
As part of its mandate in the field of interfaith diplomacy, EUCLID offers to select students from the general public an external (distance or online) program called the EUCLID Master of Arts in Comparative Christian Theology. This program also exists (due to variations in the curriculum) as a Master of Arts in Comparative Religion. It should be noted that specialized programs in Interfaith Studies / Interreligious Diplomacy are also offered.
This online MA, representing 40 US credits (60 ECTS), is the world's only Master's degree program in this field offered by an intergovernmental organization, which also has a specific mandate and recognized expertise in interfaith diplomacy. In 2016, EUCLID received the first prize of the UN World Interfaith Harmony Week (photo below) and continues to support a number of theological and interfaith initiatives such as Interfaith Cities.
Partial scholarships are available ECOWAS residents and a permanent staff of intergovernmental organizations. Full scholarships are reserved for officials and staff of EUCLID's Participating States.
ACADEMIC PRESENTATION:
This program delivers a sound academic foundation at the graduate level,
l. Within certain parameters, the EUCLID Online LLM in International Law and Treaty Law is customizable, with elective courses focusing on:
- International organizations
- International Business Law
- European Law
- Maritime law
- Treaty drafting, negotiation, and application.
Methodology:
This program is delivered on EUCLID's best-of-class LMS platform called ELEMENTS. It is asynchronous and self-paced. Each course is structured in 7 periods, of which the first 5 are dedicated to the study of assigned material (PDFs and videos) with short responses papers, followed by 2 periods for the major paper, quiz and oral examination.

EUCLID has ongoing enrollment (intake) for this program. It is acceptable to apply several months in advance but it is recommended to apply 60-40 days in advance. General public slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
