ESMT - European School of Management and Technology, located in the heart of Berlin, Germany, is a private business school founded by 25 multinational corporations. The schools’ expertise focuses on the development of entrepreneurial leaders with a global focus on social responsibility and the management of technology. ESMT is one of the top-ranked business schools in Germany with a global network of alumni in over 50 countries.

All ESMT programs benefit from close relationships with ESMT's corporate network and founders. The business school offers an interdisciplinary platform for discourse among policymakers, academics, and business leaders.

ESMT is the most international business school in Germany, over 80% of ESMT’s faculty members have a non-German background and in each program, the classes are 70% to 90% international.

ESMT is a state-accredited private business school, whose programs are also accredited by AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS, and FIBAA.

There is considerable overlap between these areas of research, and many of the faculty members are working on several research areas or their interfaces. Additionally, the behavior-theoretical research is fit to further link the three areas of competence.

For a better idea of what student life in Berlin is like, here are some key facts:

  • In the EIU's Global Liveability Index 2022 report, Berlin ranked as the 17th most liveable city in the world.
  • Compared to other capitals, Berlin's cost of living for students is low. We estimate average living costs – per month – to be:
