After completing their professional practice, these Officers are assigned to the Naval Polytechnic Academy, where after completing their higher studies at the level of specialization, they obtain their professional title of Naval Systems Engineer with any of the following mentions: Artillery and Missiles, Torpedoes, Weapons Anti-Submarines and Mining, Telecommunications, Navigation, Meteorology, Naval Intelligence, Naval Aviation, or Submarines (this last specialty, only for male Officers).

For their part, the Officers oriented to the field of Naval Engineering, fulfill a professional practice period of two years of service onboard Navy ships, in the positions of Electronics, Navigation, Propulsion Systems, Electricity Systems, or Fault Control. They then complete their higher studies at the Naval Polytechnic Academy for a period of two years, where they obtain their professional title of Naval Engineer, specializing in Electronics, Mechanics, Electricity, or Hydrography.

Apart from the above, the Executive Officers and Naval Engineers are prepared throughout their careers to assume the functions of direction, administration, and senior management of the Institution, for which they execute different post-graduate courses or the specialization course in General Staff, in order to satisfy the professional profile required to achieve efficient management in the areas of human resources, materials, finance, international relations, security, and maritime interests.
