Your learning journey begins in September and is structured over 6 terms, taking place primarily in Berlin. Beyond the academic modules, you'll get continuous career development support and access to the Careers Centre team to prepare you for the next step in your professional journey.
Term 1: Berlin
Kicking off in Berlin, you'll build a comprehensive business skill set that integrates strategic thinking with digital innovation capabilities. You'll develop the frameworks to assess companies, master management skills essential for global operations, and gain hands-on entrepreneurial experience through real-world challenges.
Additionally, you'll start a language class of your choice to prepare for global career opportunities and work environments.
Term 2: Paris
This term at the Paris Campus is all about turning strategy into action in an unpredictable business world. You’ll understand the impact of emerging technologies, learn to design sustainable business solutions, and discover how to innovate in a variety of settings. The Business Transformation module puts you in the CEO’s seat, guiding you through the challenges of leading strategy, finance, people, and stakeholders to successfully drive change.
Additionally, you’ll start an on-demand online coding course to get a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Python, and continue with your language class.
Term 3: Berlin
This term combines global experience with practical skill-building. The 1-week international seminar in Singapore exposes you to the country’s dynamic start-up ecosystem and offers you insights into tailoring business ideas to an international market. In Berlin you’ll engage with successful entrepreneurs from the city’s start-up scene, and also develop the confidence to pitch your own ideas to live audiences. Your language class concludes at the end of this term.
Term 4: Berlin
After a brief summer break, your cohort will be back in session at the Berlin Campus. You’ll prepare to critically evaluate research and conduct your own scientific work and also take 2 electives of your choice.
A critical career element of this programme takes place this term — the Company Consultancy Project (CCP). Over 2 months, you and your peers (from diverse Master’s programmes) will collaborate on a real-time challenge provided by a company or organisation. This project challenges you to put into practice the concepts you’ve learned in class and gives you valuable experience employers are looking for.
Term 5: Anywhere in the world
You’ll have 12 weeks to complete an individual Master's Thesis with the guidance of an academic advisor. A Master Thesis demonstrates advanced research, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills—highly valued in competitive job markets. As you develop expertise and contacts in your desired industry, a thesis can also serve as a launch pad for your career.
Term 6: Anywhere in the world
You’ll finish your Master's journey with an internship (or a full-time permanent position), which must be a minimum of three months.
The internship, which you can do anywhere in the world, is an excellent opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge, get more hands-on experience, and build professional connections, all aimed at jumpstarting your career. ESCP’s European Career Centre provides support as you look for the right internship opportunity.
Here are some examples of companies and organisations at which students have previously completed internships:
Bain & Company – L'Oréal – Siemens – KPMG – Nestle – Bayer – EY – Lacoste – Workday – Mercedes Benz Mobility – Audible GmbH – Henkel – AI Builders – Accenture – Climate Seed – Pleo Technologies GmbH – Montblanc – Deloitte – Zalando
You’ll learn through a comprehensive blend of traditional teaching methods (lectures, case studies, research, group projects) and a wide variety of direct applications (hackathons, consulting projects, startup simulations, workshops, and company visits).
Demonstrate your commitment and readiness to succeed in business school by taking the GMAT exam – the most widely used exam for admissions that measures your critical thinking and reasoning skills.
