Master's Degree in Child Health Nursing and Pediatrics

The Master's Degree in Nursing in Child Health and Pediatrics at Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Coimbra , currently regulated by Order No. 3035/2018, of March 23, seeks to pursue the essential objectives of higher education policy, giving them the necessary skills to enable them to lifelong learning and the acquisition of knowledge and skills aimed at professional performance and development, particularly the competencies defined for nurses specialized in child and young adult nursing defined by the Nurses' Order and included in Regulation no. 123 / 2011, Regulation of Specific Skills of Nursing Specialist in Child and Youth Health Nursing.

The study plan takes into account the social, cultural and educational context, the education and health policy aimed at child and family care, the demographic and epidemiological trends in the same field, as well as the current conceptions about child care. specialized nursing to the child, from birth to late adolescence, and his family.
