About: This Specialization in Graphic Design, August 2018 start, trains students in visual communication, typography, illustration, editorial and digital design and visual identity. The course covers fundamentals of visual language, contemporary graphic practices and business skills. It builds teamwork and negotiation skills and prepares students to manage visual projects and propose solutions. Admissions need ID, proof of residence, photo and a signed contract.

Career Outcomes: Graduates can work as graphic designers, advance to art directors, or start design studios. Other roles include visual communicators, editorial designers, digital designers, and brand identity specialists in agencies, publishers, print shops and marketing consultancies.

The program is aimed at students interested in investing in high-quality training and developing knowledge in the field of graphic design and visual communication.

The objective of the course is to prepare professionals capable of executing visual programming of different genres and formats, developing and using aesthetic elements of the visual communication process, creating illustrations, applying typography and reproducing other elements of visual identity, managing the entire process of visual communication, and proposing practical solutions to real problems.

  • Comprehensive understanding of major historical and contemporary developments in graphic design, including social, technical and professional contexts.
  • Self-awareness, ability to communicate with different audiences, develop teamwork, discussion and negotiation skills.
  • Development of personal and business skills to respond to current and future career challenges.
  • Upon completion of the course, students will be able to work as a graphic designer (and future art director) in design studios, advertising agencies, marketing consultancies, publishers and print shops. He will also have enough knowledge to undertake and open his own design company.
