European Research University is a distinguished institution located in the heart of Europe, at the crossroads of the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. Our university is grounded in the values of openness, equality, and respect for the individual needs of both students and staff, fostering an inclusive and collaborative academic environment.

Situated in a vibrant metropolitan area, the university benefits from excellent transport links, with easy access by air, rail, and road, making it a convenient destination for students from all over the world. We also offer a full range of facilities to support student life, ensuring all essential needs are met.

As a Recognised Teaching Centre of the University of London, the European Research University provides extensive support to students enrolled in University of London programmes. We guide and mentor our students academically while also offering access to excellent facilities, a vibrant community, and strong social connections, ensuring that students thrive both academically and socially.

We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with a primary focus on economics. At the undergraduate level, students can choose from programmes such as Economic Policy and Public Administration, and Economy and Management, providing a strong foundation in economic theory and practice. Our "Competences for Master's Degree" programme is designed to prepare students for advanced study at prestigious universities abroad, equipping them with the necessary skills for success.

A key feature of our institution is its high degree of internationalisation, complemented by a strong emphasis on research and its integration into teaching. We believe that research should be woven into education, allowing students to engage in research from the very outset of their studies. This approach develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills, positioning students for success in a globalised world.

The European Research University is part of the PRIGO group, which includes 9 member schools. It operates on several campuses located in Ostrava, Prague, London, Brno, Olomouc and other cities. Thus, students have at their disposal various workplaces equipped with standard facilities, including sports and cultural facilities, ICT laboratories, libraries, study rooms, canteens, cafeterias and others. A mock kindergarten is available to students of the early childhood education programmes.

To apply for admission, submit an online study application and include a motivational video, an essay, and an overview of your academic achievements as well as your extracurricular activities.

You will then attend a personal interview with the rector or dean, where you’ll demonstrate your motivation, readiness for full-time study, willingness to study abroad, and commitment to extracurricular activities and volunteering.

The tuition fee scholarship is not considered a scholarship under the Higher Education Act or the Scholarship Rules of the European Research University. It is an award from the “For the Future” Endowment Fund, established in accordance with its founding purpose, which includes providing scholarships to students from institutions within the PRIGO Group, of which the European Research University is a member.

This scholarship supports the university's goal of ensuring open access to education for all motivated, hardworking, and ambitious students, regardless of their social or other disadvantages. In line with the university's strategic priorities, it is primarily awarded to students enrolled in full-time, research-oriented, or internationally-focused programmes.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

Any applicant or student may apply, provided they have been accepted into a programme at the European Research University or a University of London programme offered through the Recognised Teaching Centre in Ostrava operated by the European Research University. Information on whether a specific programme is part of the scholarship scheme is available for each programme at its profile.

How to apply for the scholarship?

Applications are submitted online with all relevant supporting documentation. To complete the online application, a unique Student ID is required, which is provided to each accepted applicant, along with further information and the decision on their admission to a programme that is part of the scholarship scheme. For current students, the Student ID is valid throughout their studies.

    Amount of the scholarship

The scholarship can cover the full tuition fee or part of it. The award is between 50% and 100% of the tuition fee for the relevant academic year. Scholarships are available for tuition in specific programmes at the European Research University, as well as in programmes at the University of London’s Recognised Teaching Centre operated by the university. The scholarship can also be applied to the tuition fees set directly by the University of London. It may be combined with other ERUNI scholarships or third-party scholarship schemes.

The European Research University offers highly individualised study, providing students with exactly what they need to succeed in their further academic pursuits and excel in their professional endeavours. From the bachelor’s level, students have the opportunity to engage in research, fostering a deeper understanding of their field.

The full-time study programmes are built on a mentor-student dialogue, ensuring personalised guidance. With a high level of internationalisation and preparation for admission to prestigious high-ranked universities, the university also provides above-standard information and communication technology resources.
