Our programme is for you!
Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced professional, in France or abroad, become a committed player in the transition of the aviation sector.
If you want a qualification to be recruited on projects that are in line with your environmental convictions, our training program provides future managers working in the aviation sector—manufacturers, airlines, airports, and air traffic managers— the skills they need to integrate environmental issues.
Developed by leading academic and professional experts in air transport, this program offers an interdisciplinary approach in line with the sector's needs. The integration of climate and energy issues, combined with an innovative teaching approach, will enable you to design new trajectories for aviation in 2050.
The SA training programme in brief
- At the heart of the sector's needs related to the transition of Air Transport: To address climate issues and planetary boundaries, the aviation sector needs a strategic vision and requires men and women who are skilled in managing the risks and opportunities associated with these specific challenges.
- Flexibility and innovative methods: This program allows you to balance your professional career and personal development thanks to a 100% online training program with large asynchronous time slots supervised by professional tutors.
- Two internationally recognized aeronautical schools: ENAC and ISAE-SUPAERO have joined forces to offer this program, which will cover not only the eco-design of low-carbon aircraft, but also the operational and systemic aspects and societal challenges linked with these issues.
The program consists of:
- an online academic part.
- a professional part in France or abroad (professional assignment/thesis in a company).
The online academic part, with a prescribed workload of approximately 450 hours, takes place over 12 months and requires around ten hours of work per week.
It is structured into seven teaching units, to which 45 ECTS credits are allocated:
- Aviation and environment
- Energy
- Ecodesign
- Systems approach
- Certification and Environmental law
- Innovation
- Digital Technologies
49th in the 2025 Shanghai Ranking (ARWU) for Aerospace Engineering
The Shanghai Ranking is internationally recognized for the rigor of its methodology, which relies primarily on the objective evaluation of scientific output (volume, quality, and impact) and international visibility.
The 6th Most Chosen School By Preparatory Class Students According to Génération Prépa (2023-2024)
The Génération Prépa website is run by students from the Grandes Écoles and is aimed at students in the preparatory classes. Its rankings are based on data provided by the Service du Concours Ecoles d'Ingénieurs (SCEI) using 5 indicators: the competition in which the school is ranked, its average rank, the number of entrants, the number of places, and the number of students who have entered the school.
5th in the Figaro Étudiant 2025 Ranking of Post-Prépa Engineering Schools (2025)
Every year, Figaro Étudiant publishes its ranking of the best French post-prépa engineering schools.
7th in the Ranking of Engineering Schools According to Data Analysis for University Rankings (DAUR) (2025)
This ranking is the result of a study carried out on 185 engineering schools, with a particular focus on student engineering degrees
Ranked 9th among engineering schools according to L'Usine Nouvelle (2026)
ISAE-SUPAERO has confirmed its place among France's elite engineering schools. This result reflects the recognition our Institute has earned across all evaluation criteria: professional integration, international outlook, proximity to industry, and research.
At the end of the training, graduates will be able to:
- Assess the various environmental impacts (climate, resources, biodiversity) of products and services in the aviation sector to identify eco-design levers through life cycle analysis.
- Design technical and organizational solutions to improve the sustainability of a product or service while ensuring air transport safety and reliability requirements.
- Analyze complex situations and devise forward-looking scenarios based on a systemic approach to contribute to sustainable aviation.
- Support the implementation of innovative solutions and influence organizations to ensure their viability, taking into account aeronautical certification requirements and environmental regulations.
The professional part of the program includes:
- a professional assignment during 4 months at least (maximum 6 months), worth 10 ECTS credits);
- a professional thesis, individual work prepared as part of this work placement, worth 20 ECTS credits.
The work placement in a company, government agency, or research laboratory may take place in France or abroad (assignment supervised by an employment contract or internship supervised by an agreement).
The work placement and professional thesis are consistent with the knowledge and skills required for graduation.
