The ELI offers three $500 scholarships per year.
The scholarships are awarded to new students who apply for two or more sessions of study on an F-1 visa.
During the Fall 1, Spring 1, and Summer 1 sessions one new student is randomly chosen to receive a $250 tuition discount for two sessions for a total of $500. The student must be at the ELI to receive the scholarship.
No additional application is needed. The ELI application is used as the scholarship application.
Students who are with programs or organizations that receive discounts are not eligible for the scholarship.
Students take an ELI Placement Exam on the first day of the session to determine the level for each core class. A student can be in different levels based on the tests. For example, a student can be Reading/Writing 3, Speaking/Listening 4, and Structure 2.
We do not have classes for beginners (Level 1).
