Module 10: Dynamo BIM

• Dynamo user interface.
• Nodes and Dynamo Library.
• Solving repetitive problems with Dynamo: practical examples.
• Integrating Dynamo with Microsoft Excel: BIM model data extraction.

Module 11: Improved decision-making process through BIM

• How to enhance the building decision-making processes in early design stages.
• How to benefit the different building phases (i.e., design, engineering, construction, maintenance, and operation) through BIM.
• How to improve data visualisation in BIM.

• Heritage BIM: maintenance and repair of heritage buildings.

Module 12: Project and Unit Review

• In the final week, students will have an opportunity to review the contents covered so far. An opportunity will be provided for a review of student work and to clarify any outstanding issues. Instructors/facilitators may choose to cover a specialised topic if applicable to that cohort.

You will be able to use the BIM concept to its fullest potential and act as a BIM designer, a BIM consultant, a BIM Manager or a Head BIM. Additionally, you will be able to offer several differentials in your future projects, using the BIM tools in your favour. After this program, you will act as a project decision-maker, collaborating to develop an innovative built environment.

Certification

To obtain a certificate of completion for EIT’s Professional Certificate of Competency course, students must achieve a 65% attendance rate at the live, online fortnightly webinars. Detailed summaries or notes can be submitted in lieu of attendance. In addition, students must obtain a mark of 60% in the set assignments which could take the form of written assignments and practical assignments. Students must also obtain a mark of 100% in quizzes. If a student does not achieve the required score, they will be given an opportunity to resubmit the assignment to obtain the required score.

Regardless of whether you are a domestic or international student, when you study on-campus with EIT, our supportive blended learning model, and small class sizes encourage you to advance your technical knowledge and remain engaged in your studies while forming global networks.

We deliver our on-campus degrees via a unique methodology that uses an international pool of expert lecturers, and dedicated learning support officers, and provides you access to cutting-edge simulation software alongside physical and virtual laboratories to test concepts and deepen your understanding of program content.

EIT has campuses across Australia in Perth (Western Australia), Melbourne (Victoria), and Brisbane (Queensland).

You are expected to spend approximately 5-8 hours per week learning the course content. This includes attending fortnightly webinars that run for about 90 minutes to facilitate class discussion and allow you to ask questions. This professional development program is delivered online and has been designed to fit around full-time work. It will take three months to complete.
