Key Summary

    About : The MSc in Mineral Exploration program focuses on providing students with advanced knowledge and skills necessary for the mineral exploration sector. Students will engage in comprehensive coursework and hands-on learning experiences. This program emphasizes the importance of modern technologies and sustainable practices in mineral exploration.
    Career Outcomes : Graduates can pursue a variety of careers in the mineral exploration industry, including roles such as geologist, exploration manager, and mining consultant. Opportunities may also exist in governmental and environmental organizations, focusing on resource management and environmental sustainability.

Built on existing strong minerals exploration MSc programs, TIMREX is a joint master’s degree in mineral exploration with add-on innovation and entrepreneurship skills. The program has a strong emphasis on field activities and the application of innovative exploration techniques and solutions is the specialty of TIMREX among the EIT-Labelled master programs. Intensive fieldwork is expected from the students during the summer period between the first and second years of study. Students will develop their entrepreneurship, innovative and socio-civic skills, with strong support from industrial and research partners.

Double Diploma: Graduates will be awarded a double or single Master of Science degree from the University of Miskolc, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, the University of Zagreb, and/or Luleå University of Technology (depending on the study pathway chosen by the student). Graduates will also receive the EIT Label Certificate.
