The International Filmmaking Programs
EICAR boasts a 50-year history and a reputed international alumni network
- The academic year is split into two semesters and two production period (midterm and final projects). The total course load amounts to 420 hours annually.
- The curriculum is hands-on and whenever possible a mirror of professional conditions and is updated constantly to incorporate the latest industry trends.
- Course instruction can be coupled with extensive one-on-one tutoring with film professionals. Our faculty is composed of working film professionals.
- We host guest lectures from industry professionals every week.
- Students receive optional French language classes to help acclimate and be competitive in France.
- We welcome students from all over the world, from various educational and professional backgrounds, and thus retain a student body that is both diverse and unique.
- Students are able to benefit from the rich inspiration of Paris with all its cultural and filmic traditions while retaining the core of an international education.

Located just outside Paris, our EICAR Paris campus flourishes within a vibrant urban environment, just minutes from the heart of the capital.

Campus
Since fall 2021, EICAR has welcomed its students to brand-new facilities. Located in Ivry-sur-Seine, at the gates of Paris, this 7000 m2 campus benefits from the latest state-of-the-art equipment dedicated to practical audiovisual work: a recording studio with soundproof cabins, 30 workstations for sound post production, Image and VFX, a cinema that holds 200 people, and 8 shooting stages
The Souk
This 600 m² space, towering over Paris and its surroundings, is dedicated to students' projects and to hosting professional events.
The Recording Studio
Thanks to an excellent acoustic treatment, the studio is the perfect educational tool to learn music & sound recording in professional conditions.
The Hub
Eicar owns its movie theater, at the cutting edge of technology with a Dolby 7.1 sound system. Welcoming 200 persons, it is dedicated to previews, students' projects screenings, professional festivals, or masterclasses.
The Studios
8 black or green shooting studios, located in the basement and another one, exposed to natural light, on the second floor of the building, all equipped with all required professional equipment, are used for classes and shooting.

EICAR is in constant contact with the industry to evaluate and define the needs in terms of hardware and software investments.
