Introduction
The Undergraduate Degree in Psychology is guided by the Bologna Declaration principles and the European Framework for Psychologists' Training guidelines, ensuring that the training given is part of the training model developed in the national and European context. It also follows the guidelines issued by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (Law 571 of 4 September 2008).
The Egas Moniz Higher Institute of Health Science (IUEM) has a vast experience in teaching in the field of Psychology (pre-Bologna), which includes the Forensic Psychology and Criminal Behaviour component, fostering the engagement of students in projects in the community (schools, courts, law enforcement agencies, commissions to protect children and youths, municipal council, victim support associations, and others).
This Undergraduate Degree falls under the Forensic and Behavioural Science field, whose goal is to foster teaching and research in psychology, oriented to specialize in Forensic Psychology and the study of Criminal Behaviour.
