Introduction

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is an internationally recognised professional body. The purpose of the Foundation Certificate in Accounting is to offer the foundation accounting knowledge needed to progress to employment, further study or apprenticeship in accountancy and finance.

The accountancy and finance knowledge developed in this qualification is also the underpinning knowledge needed for the higher-level accountancy and financial skills developed in the Advanced and Professional AAT accounting qualifications.
