Introduction
What does this course involve?
Our Level 3 Accounting course builds on your knowledge and covers more complex accounting tasks, including maintaining cost accounting records and the preparation of reports and returns. It comprises six mandatory units:
Advanced Bookkeeping
Final Accounts Preparation
Management Accounting
Costing
Indirect Tax Ethics for Accountants
Spreadsheets for Accounting
As well as covering the mandatory units, students will take part in relevant work experience, benefit from industry-relevant guest speakers and use their skills in our bi-annual Community Weeks.
What qualifications do I need?
4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and maths at grade 4 or a relevant full Level 2 qualification.
How will I be assessed?
All assessments are set and marked by AAT. Four units are assessed individually in end-of-unit assessments (exams) and one synoptic assessment sat at the end of the course which draws on and examines knowledge and understanding from across the qualification.
Progression
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to seek employment, gain an apprenticeship to study at the next level or move on to university.
