With a unique combination of business skills and a solid understanding of the sports industry, sports managers oversee professional and amateur athletes and teams, coordinate sporting events and work behind the scenes at some of the biggest sporting venues in the world.
Aimed at college and university graduates, the Sports Business Management graduate certificate program is a fast-track to the sports industry. The sports industry is recognized as a distinct enterprise that requires specific skills, knowledge, attitudes, and experiences best obtained through the academic process achieved by enrolling in this program.
It provides advanced and intensive training through one semester of academics and one semester of field placement.
With a commitment to personal and professional achievement, the program also offers a student-led sports conference, numerous networking opportunities and a variety of experiential learning options to prepare you for your chosen career.
Admission Requirements
- Completion of a three-year college or university program.
OR
- Relevant full-time career experience (may be considered)
- Proof of English language proficiency required
Applicants whose first language is not English or who are internationally educated in a nonโEnglish speaking country must meet Durham Collegeโs English Language Proficiency Policy.
Applicants may choose to attend a voluntary interview/information session.
