Key Summary
The Administration of Justice curriculum is designed to meet the needs of current and prospective students interested in transferring to a four-year institution for the purpose of receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice/Criminal Justice so that students will have a smooth transition from the College to the four-year institution of their choice. Additionally, the program is also designed for students who want to receive an associate's Degree. A student in the AADJ program will learn several important aspects of the criminal justice system including the role and functions of the various components of the criminal justice system, various theories of criminological behaviors, ethical standards for criminal justice professionals, juvenile justice issues, and criminal law and procedure.

- Differentiate between the three main segments of the Criminal Justice System.
- Compare and contrast the main theories of criminological behavior.
- Identify the impact of Juvenile Justice issues on Law Enforcement, Courts, and Corrections.
- Compare and contrast the major ethical issues confronting criminal justice professionals with an emphasis on encouraging students to explore their own ethical and moral systems.
- Illustrate the role of technology in the Criminal Justice System.
- Demonstrate critical thinking on global issues affecting the criminal justice system.
- Examine the importance of constitutional and statutory rights.
