Introduction
This limited access program is designed to provide graduates of certificate and registered apprenticeship programs additional technical and supervisory skills while enhancing the basic general education skills necessary for placement in entry-level management positions. With the Operations Management Technology program students can advance in their field and elevate their overall performance. This program will increase their technical knowledge and enhance their communication, computation, and job skills.
Mission
The mission of the Operations Management Technology A.S. degree program is to prepare vocational students for entry-level employment in management or administration through an innovative curriculum that emphasizes student success, promotes diversity, and provides the fundamental concepts, knowledge, and skills needed to meet local industry needs.
Description
This limited access program is designed to provide graduates of certificate and registered apprenticeship programs additional technical and supervisory skills while enhancing the basic general education skills necessary for placement in entry-level management positions. With the Operations Management Technology program students can advance in their field and elevate their overall performance. This program will increase their technical knowledge and enhance their communication, computation, and job skills.
A pre-admission consultation with the Director of the School of Workforce is required. Students must bring the following documentation to the consultation: unofficial transcripts and course descriptions from a trade school or institute attended, a short narrative of technical training and career, a current resume, copies of certificates of completion/achievement in trade or craft, and other supporting documentation students might want to have evaluated. Credit will be awarded as BCT2990 (Technical Training) at 24-27 credit hours for an approved apprenticeship or career certificate program.

How do I get a scholarship?
Apply in 4 Easy Steps
- Complete the FAFSA® with the DSC code, 001475.
- Write a brief statement in a format you can copy and paste into the DSC Foundation Scholarship application. The statement should focus on your educational and career goals and requires 150 to 300 words. Be sure to spell and grammar check your statement, then save it in a folder to insert it into the DSC Foundation Scholarship application.
- Complete the DSC Foundation Scholarship application. It can be completed in more than one session, but be sure you click ‘Save and Continue’ before logging out. Once complete, click the ‘Submit’ button, and then it's our turn.
- Upload a thank you letter and headshot within 10 days if you receive an email stating you received a DSC Foundation Scholarship.
