Biomedical Engineering (Masters)

The subject of "Biomedical Engineering" integrates theories and methods of engineering, biology, and medicine. It studies the state and changes of the human system at all levels, and provides technical support for disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. The “Biomedical Engineering” major of Dalian University of Technology was established in 2003 and was formed on the basis of the interdisciplinary integration of information and communication engineering, microelectronics, optoelectronics, materials science, mechatronics engineering, biochemistry, and computational mechanics. The Department of Biomedical Engineering was established in 2007 , and the School of Biomedical Engineering was established in 2018 , which is part of the Department of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering. At present, it has a first-level discipline doctoral program in biomedical engineering, a first-level discipline master program, and a post-doctoral mobile station. It is a first-level key discipline in Liaoning Province; it has the Ministry of Education "National Integrated Circuit Talent Training Base", and the State Administration of Foreign Experts International Training (Dalian) Base", Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Integrated Circuit Technology, Biomedical Engineering Laboratory, Medical Information Technology and Rehabilitation Engineering and 985 Engineering Research Platform.
