Key Summary

About : The Master in Cybernetics and Robotics offers a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of cybernetics and robotics. This course integrates various fields of study, enhancing your skills in systems thinking, control, and automation over two years. Students engage in hands-on projects and research activities, preparing for the complex technologies in robotics.
Career Outcomes : Graduates can pursue various career opportunities in fields such as robotics engineering, automation, and cybernetics research. Possible roles include robotics programmer, systems engineer, and control systems analyst, reflecting the demand for qualified professionals in these growing industries.

Students of the Master's program Cybernetics and Robotics will acquire advanced knowledge of cybernetics, robotics, automatic control, diagnostics, and sensors in the compulsory subjects of the program and will also develop their creative engineering skills in the subjects of project type. Students study the general field called Cybernetics and Robotics and can choose courses from four available specializations. However, they are still able to gain an insight into other sectors of the program by selecting a required elective course (this is a denoted as a compulsory subject in one of four specializations), and also by the choice of their optional courses.

On the other hand, students of a general field - deliberately named the same way as the course itself - can direct their way through the program according to their own needs, by choosing their required elective courses in a so to speak zigzag manner - out of the compulsory subjects for all specializations. Thus, while maintaining the depth of knowledge in some areas, our students are also able to broaden their horizons in other fields, which helps them in their future career and opens them the doors to the rest of the world.

Continuity with the bachelor's program

The Master's course is loosely based on the undergraduate program Cybernetics and robotics, but it is open to graduates from other programs, faculties, and schools. A completed bachelor's degree in any program of a similar focus is the main requirement. Any lack of knowledge of students coming from other faculties or universities can be supplemented by elective courses during the first year of the program. This is thanks to the variety of available elective subjects. None of the fields requires specialization in the previous bachelor's course.
