Students are also offered the option of choosing a Master's Program with a thesis , under the supervision of the department's academic staff, or a Master's Program without a thesis , attending five (5) additional postgraduate courses.

The Master of Science ( MSc ) program ( with thesis ) is mainly aimed at people interested in careers in research and development. A significant percentage of graduates continue their studies to obtain a doctorate. The objectives of the program are achieved through the attendance of eight (8) postgraduate courses, participation in scientific seminars and preparation of an appropriate thesis. The normal duration of the master's program is 13 months (full-time), but in the case of part-time study, the program can be completed within 48 months.
