Introduction

The program is unique in public Cypriot university education and offers excellent theoretical training and a high level of clinical competence across the spectrum of nursing science, taking into account the modern multicultural environment, the overall needs of users of health and care services, in the European and Cypriot institutional framework .

The program involves providing knowledge in modern nursing theories and other related sciences, professional development and nursing practice. It delves into, among others, pathology, surgery, oncology, obstetrics, gerontology and community nursing, pharmacology, microbiology and mental health nursing. In addition, high-level theoretical training is provided in contemporary issues of intercultural nursing, nutrition, ethics, ethics and legal framework.

The program is four years long and includes compulsory foundation courses and advanced specialization courses, English language courses for academic purposes and limited elective courses. In the 2nd semester of study, the Clinical Practice begins, which consists of presence and work, 7 hours per week, for practical training purposes in public hospitals, under the guidance of experienced professional nurses who act as mentors. Clinical Practice continues throughout the following semesters of study, with a gradual increase in hours per week.
