Nursing is an art and a science dedicated to educating individuals in protecting people from diseases, improving the physical and psychological well-being of patients by delivering the health care instructed by the doctor, and planning, applying, and checking the patient care.
Our mission at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University is to train health professionals, educators, and researchers equipped with professional qualities such as problem solutions, hard work, and protective skills. We aim to train our students to develop the health profession according to the country's needs, to gain professional information and skills in implementing medical health services successfully, to become creative individuals who will contribute to global science, to act according to ethical values, and to communicate effectively.
The mission of the Nursing Department is to bring up qualified academicians and health professionals who possess the skills to tackle problems and successfully deliver services in the areas of protective, developmental, and curative health care. The program also aims to graduate a qualified and creative workforce working in line with the professional ethics in contributing to global science.

Scholarships and Funding
All prospective international students are granted a 75% tuition fee scholarship.
There is a huge range of scholarship opportunities available for our prospective international students across the world, ranging from partial scholarships which cover some tuition fees, to full scholarships which cover the duration of your studies. The majority of scholarships cover tuition fees only.
There are also many different types of scholarships for international students from certain regions, or even students studying in a certain field.

Program Outcome
BSc in Nursing
The BSc in Nursing at CHSSU prepares our students to become health professionals at the front line of patient care. Students are equipped with the scientific knowledge, medical and communication skills, and clinical training to contribute to providing top-quality healthcare around the world. The program has been approved by Higher Education Council following the European directive on mutual recognition of professional qualifications —enabling our graduates to apply for recognition of their degree anywhere in the European Union. Our students carry out clinical training and practice at public and private hospitals. Graduates can begin working in the healthcare sector or continue to postgraduate studies to specialize.
With the aim of graduating well-educated and successful students and maintaining interdisciplinary dynamism, our department receives professional support from expert academicians at various institutions in Cyprus with the aim of effective course implementation. Our program has been designed in such a way that elements such as analyzing, tackling problems, reaching conclusions, thinking creatively and critically, working in a team, and communicating effectively have been integrated with the course content. A number of collaboration protocols have also been made with different institutions to provide our students with internship opportunities.

Career Opportunities
Successful graduates of the program receive the title of “Nurse”. Graduates of the department may pursue employment opportunities at private or state hospitals as departmental nurses, department chief nurses, hospital chief nurses, or director of Nursing services. If they wish, graduates may also continue their education at a higher level and become associate professors or professors.
