The Faculty of Dentistry at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University offers a unique research-connected learning environment that is primarily focused on developing each individual so that they can each realize their personal potential as well as qualify as a professional capable of providing compassionate, evidence-based, holistic dental care to patients.
Students from different dental disciplines have the opportunity to work side-by-side and develop their skills in state-of-the-art simulation suites.
Student growth is supported by our world-leading learning technology systems that provide personalized developmental progress information so that learning needs can be tailored by the individual. This personalized and supportive approach enables our students to have early access to patients, in their first year, so that developing skills can be authentically consolidated and integrated into the real-world situation.

Scholarships and Funding
All prospective international students are granted a 50% tuition fee scholarship.
There is a huge range of scholarship opportunities available for our prospective international students across the world, ranging from partial scholarships which cover some tuition fees, to full scholarships which cover the duration of your studies. The majority of scholarships cover tuition fees only.
There are also many different types of scholarships for international students from certain regions, or even students studying in a certain field.
Program Outcome
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
Completing the DDS will allow you to take the national licensing to become a practicing dentist in N.Cyprus. You can explore practice opportunities where we list known practice vacancies.
Become a dental specialist
You can continue your studies to become a specialist dentist through our graduate studies with clinical training.
Most DDS graduates pursue postgraduate training. The remainder begin careers in academe or enter the service; an extremely small percentage go directly into practice.
- Dental Public Health-the control and prevention of dental disease and promotion of oral health through organized community efforts
- Endodontics-the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the dental pulp tissue affecting the vitality of teeth
- Oral Pathology-the study of the causes, processes, and effects of diseases of the oral cavity and associated structures
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery-the diagnosis of, and surgical and related services dealing with, diseases, injuries, and defects of the oral cavity and associated structures
- Orthodontics-the supervision, guidance, and correction of the growing and mature dentofacial structures
- Pediatric Dentistry-the diagnosis and treatment of the developing dentition of children, adolescents, and young adults
- Periodontics-the diagnosis and treatment of diseases that affect the soft tissues that support the teeth
- Prosthodontics-the science and art of restoring missing teeth and associated structures with fixed or removable substitutes
Our faculty helps students identify professional opportunities, select postgraduate programs, and prepare their résumés to assure that they start their professional careers in the best possible way at CHSSU or any other university around the world.

Career Opportunities
Most graduates can work in their private clinics or private or public hospitals and community clinics. Graduates can specialize in various disciplines such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry or orthodontics.
