Our Business Administration doctoral program is meant to teach our students current management techniques and theoretical approaches, as well as to direct them toward scientific research that will benefit the country's management and the existing literature in the subject. The curriculum is built on elective courses that allow students to focus on certain topics based on the fundamental functions of the business world. Investment analysis and portfolio management, retail marketing strategies, advanced Microsoft Excel applications for businesses, financial markets and institutions theory, total quality management and quality assurance systems, and quantitative management techniques are among the elective courses available. Similarly, a large selection of courses focusing primarily on management and leadership are available.
Organizational theories and new organizational practices, such as networking, can be analyzed in light of the Internet's new technical advancements and opportunities.
Doctoral studies at KSTU provide study on current management science, management theories, statistics, economics, and research methodologies issues. English is the medium of teaching, and students proceed through the curriculum by completing fundamental courses together. Students are expected to settle on their subject of expertise in close collaboration with faculty supervisors before beginning the thesis semester. Doctoral studies conclude with the drafting of the thesis proposal and the actual execution of the thesis research, followed by the defense of the thesis in front of an academic jury. Students are encouraged to present papers at conferences and publish publications in reputable journals during their PhD studies. This application is also available in German as a teaching medium.
The objective of Ph.D. studies is widely regarded to be to prepare students for academic life.
