Key Summary

About : The PhD in Neurosciences focuses on interdisciplinary research that encompasses behavior, cognitive functions, and biological mechanisms. This program offers a comprehensive understanding of topics such as neurobiology and clinical neuroscience, helping students develop innovative research skills. It also integrates advanced techniques in molecular biology and neuroimaging.
Career Outcomes : Graduates can pursue careers in various sectors, including academia, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and research institutions. Potential roles include research scientist, clinical neuropsychologist, or neuroscientific consultant, contributing to advancements in understanding the brain and nervous system.

Neuroscience occupies a special position in the system of scientific fields due to the high specificity of functional neural tissue that significantly differs from other tissues in almost all observable parameters at all levels. Added to this are the enormous heterogeneity in functional neuronal population and the fact that one of the cardinal functional manifestations of the outer world is a reflection of mental activity. Neuroscience brings together a range of sub-disciplines as neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neurochemistry, neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry.

The study program is carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Experimental Medicine and Institute of Physiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

This program of study is offered without specialization.
