The graduate of Liberal Arts and Humanities has a comprehensive understanding of the humanities and social sciences, the differences between various fields, discourses, and specifics of their methodology.

Thanks to this, they are able to consider and compare different approaches and perspectives. In particular, they are able to interpret the results of socio-scientific research and assess their relevance, thematize and analyze various social phenomena in their contexts and analyze the development of complex social and cultural phenomena from a long-term perspective. Thanks to the interactive way of teaching in seminar groups, the student has excellent communication skills in English and is able to cooperate in a multicultural international environment.

Thanks to the interdisciplinary focus of the study, the graduate has a selective knowledge of the main concepts, approaches, and important primary texts of European philosophy. The graduate also has professional knowledge of European history, especially the history of Central Europe. Furthermore, they have selective knowledge of theories and methods of social sciences, especially social and cultural anthropology; to lesser extent sociology, psychology, and economics.

The graduate of the Liberal Arts and Humanities acquires knowledge in many disciplines of humanities (philosophy, sociology, psychology, history, anthropology, and economics) and interdisciplinary, thorough practical knowledge of at least one foreign language, including the capability of professional translation, the ability of critical thinking and sophisticated speech and writing. Great emphasis is put, above all, on self-reliance and responsibility training and on individual creative work, which allows for further effective education and flexibility under the changing conditions in the labor market. The graduate acquires qualifications for a wide range of jobs, e. g. in the fields of state administration and self-government, non-profit organizations, education, research activities for various institutions, or consulting in the multicultural sphere and humanities-oriented institutions. The graduate with predominantly theoretical specialization acquires not only a solid base in general humanities, but also expertise in any of the mentioned humanities disciplines, and thus is adequately prepared for master or post-degree study in humanities. The graduate with predominantly applied skills specialization may be employed in the fields of public relations, advertisement, media, etc., as they acquire knowledge of creating research projects, text editing, and preparation, information processing, creating company presentations, etc.
