Established in 1998, Caucasus University (CU) boasts a history rooted in a partnership between the Caucasus School of Business (CSB) and Georgia State University (GSU) in Atlanta, USA. Gaining university status in 2004, CU has consistently offered comprehensive education across three levels: bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Renowned within Georgia and the South Caucasus Region, Caucasus University stands as a prominent institution of higher learning.
Introduction
Established in 1998, Caucasus University (CU) boasts a history rooted in a partnership between the Caucasus School of Business (CSB) and Georgia State University (GSU) in Atlanta, USA. Gaining university status in 2004, CU has consistently offered comprehensive education across three levels: bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Renowned within Georgia and the South Caucasus Region, Caucasus University stands as a prominent institution of higher learning.
CU presently includes 11 schools: Business, Economics, Law, Media, Information Technology, Governance, Humanities, Tourism, Medicine and Healthcare Management, Education, and Architecture. Within these 11 schools, a combined total of 55 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs are conducted, available in both Georgian and English languages. Additionally, CU takes pride in 8 dual degree initiatives conducted in collaboration with esteemed American and European universities. Currently, the university is home to approximately 10,000 students.
Since 2004, CU has housed an off-site campus of Grenoble Ecole de Management GEM (France), facilitating its Executive MBA program. The university maintains national institutional authorization, with all programs accredited by EQE Georgia. CU has achieved notable recognition, securing the TedQual Certificate from the World Tourism Organization Academy in 2020, and in 2023, earning international accreditation from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for its architecture school. CU is in the process of obtaining AACSB accreditation, positioning it as the exclusive AACSB-accredited institution in the region.
The university is listed by WHO, and its medical students are eligible for the ECFMG examination. Additionally, the Medical School is recognized by NMC in India. Engaging globally, CU actively facilitates student and faculty exchanges, double and joint degree programs, international projects, grant initiatives, and collaborative research with 90 partner universities. The university is a proud member of various international networks and professional organizations, including EUA, PRIME, CEEMAN, IAUP, IAU, NIBES, ELFA, AACSB, and BITSENTINEL
