Do you need to improve your English before taking a college academic program? Our English language Program (ELP) prepares you for academic success in a classroom with Canadian students and helps you adjust to Canadian culture.
Program Overview
Each semester offers a variety of courses for all levels of language learning to improve:
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
- Listening
- Critical thinking
After you take our assessment, you will start at a level that is best for you based on your ability. Courses are engaging and interactive at every level. Our instructors encourage student participation in all classes.
Pathway Options
Students who successfully complete the advanced level in the ELP Program (ELP 70 and ELP 75) receive an English Language Certificate.
After completing the English Language Certificate, you can continue in ELP college preparation courses (ELP 98 and 95) along with an academic credit course from your program. You can proceed directly to an available academic program after successfully completing ELP 98 and 95 with the required grade. No IELTS or TOEFL is required for admission if you complete our ELP pathway.
