Introduction
Journalism studies are interdisciplinary. They combine general humanistic knowledge with social sciences. They develop the ability to analyze and understand the media and their impact on society and contemporary mass culture. Since education at WSKSiM is based on Christian values, these studies also give future journalists a chance for full personal development. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the pillar of education are practical skills necessary for efficient and reliable performance of the journalistic profession. They open the way to the best journalistic practices in Poland.
Journalism and social communication are the only studies in Poland that provide unique practices in national and global media of social communication: in print media, on internet portals, in radio, television and film studios. The organization of internships results from the adopted principle of cooperative education and includes hospitalization, assistant and task internships, which prepare graduates very well for future professional work. The student can also take advantage of the rich offer of foreign internships, including those organized under the Erasmus + program.
