OUR GENERAL CONCENTRATION WILL BE OFFERED AT CAMDEN CENTER!

  • Our General Concentration emphasis on basic and applied research and preparation for continued education at the graduate level is now more convenient to Camden County residents than ever before!
  • Advancements in distance-learning technology are enabling us for the first time to offer the full complement of courses in the General Concentration at Camden Center.
  • Courses will be available completely on-site, completely online, live-streamed in real time between the Brunswick campus and Camden Center, and in the "hybrid" (combination of on-site and online) format.
  • This fall Dr. Drew will be teaching Psychology of Adjustment at Camden Center, Dr. Culley will be live-streaming Community Psychology between the Brunswick campus and Camden Center, and Dr. Pope is excited to be teaching his Personality Theories course (also live-streamed between Brunswick and Camden Center).

OUR HUMAN SERVICES CONCENTRATION IS NOW OFFERED COMPLETELY ON-LINE!

  • Beginning this fall, it will be possible to complete a CCGA Psychology degree completely online.
  • Our Human Services concentration has been redesigned to be more convenient than ever!
  • New course offerings include an online Research Methods course specifically for Human Services majors, as well as a new Behavior Analysis course to open up even more career possibilities!
  • We're also offering an elective Psychology Internship for the first time ever!

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology is designed for students who want to make a difference in the lives of others or prepare for careers emphasizing basic or applied research.

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Contemporary psychology is an interdisciplinary field with many pathways to careers that range from service to improve the well-being of individuals and the social health of communities to academic research and teaching. The Psychology Program at CCGA offers career paths for service-minded individuals interested in improving lives and communities, and academic-minded individuals inclined toward basic or applied research.

Psychology Program Mission

The CCGA BS in Psychology program will prepare students for service and/or academic careers with a rigorous program of study in the science of psychology, including the theory, research, and quantitative methods of both basic and applied psychology.

The Psychology Program Offers Three Concentrations

  1. Psychology of Human Services, an emerging field at the intersection of psychology, health, and business
  2. Organizational and Community Leadership, an applied field, based in organizational and community psychology and business
  3. General Psychology, a traditional baccalaureate program of study in preparation for graduate work

Cost & Fees

The tuition rate for the 2016-2017 academic year for in-state students is $102.13 per credit hour. The non-resident tuition rate is $377.40 per credit hour.
