    About : The Diploma for Special Education Assistant equips students with skills to support children with diverse learning needs. This program focuses on practical strategies and understanding of special educational requirements to create inclusive learning environments.     Career Outcomes : Graduates can pursue various roles, such as special education assistant, classroom aide, or inclusion support worker. In this two-year program, you will specialize in primary and secondary education for students with special needs. You will learn how to give them the support they need to flourish and become active community members.

Offered in conjunction with Northern Lights College and Collège Éducacentre;

Certificate: 13 courses and two internships totalling 46 credits over 875 hours;

Diploma: 18 courses and two internships totalling 58 credits over 1,055 hours;

Online program (live or differed) is offered in French only.

Education Assistants work in public and private primary and secondary schools, specialized schools, and health centres.
