The ‘‘Alize’’ Programme

2 weeks of intensive French lessons in the heart of Europe

The « Alizé » programme promotes maximum efficiency in mastering French thanks to its flexible nature and the ready way it adapts to your objectives. You can register for a pack of several modules or begin with a single module and then add supplementary sessions until you have reached your objectives.

Who is this course for?

Every learner, from beginner to upper-intermediate level, will find what they need on this programme. Indeed, « Alizé » offers a menu of activities adapted to the specific needs and learning styles of each and every participant.
Duration

The course covers 50 hours over a two-week period, during the summer months. A new session starts every two weeks from 2/07 to 27/08 (final module ends on 7/09).

Placement test

After registration, you will receive a link to an online placement test. The result will help us to place you in a class group from the very first day. However, this does not exclude the possibility of changing groups if your teacher estimates that a different group is better suited to your level progression.

Lessons

The morning lessons place the learners in a context of active linguistic immersion, enabling them to:
– acquire the foundations of French
– improve their active practice of the languages
– perfect their knowledge in accordance with their level and needs.

The lessons are both structured and flexible and strike a sound balance between theory and practice. This promotes solid progression as regards grammar and structures, the range of vocabulary, listening comprehension ability, and oral communication efficiency.

The afternoon lessons focus more on:
– the practice of the language in authentic situations (debates, the discovery of daily life in Belgium, role-plays, work on authentic documents…).
– a cultural approach in line with the needs and interests of the learners.

Cultural and sports activities

A welcome drink is organized on the first Tuesday of every session.

To enable you to discover the cultural riches of our country, we offer you a programme of cultural visits, three times a week. These visits take place after lessons and are accompanied by our French teachers.

These visits are structured around well-defined pedagogical objectives to optimize your practice of French within their cultural contexts.

An international meal is organized at the end of the programme to accompany the distribution of the end-of-session certificates.

Elsewhere, numerous activities are organized in Brussels over the summer. All the attractions are easily and rapidly accessible, thanks to the efficient transport network. You will receive an agenda of the range of cultural activities planned in the different regions of Belgium.

In addition, you will have the possibility to practice a variety of sports at the University Sports Centre in Woluwé, not far from CLL.
