This course is designed to introduce students to the key aspects of business. It will equip students with vital knowledge and skills to enable them to flourish academically and personally.

Economics
The aim of this module is for students on business related programmes to be able to investigate and understand the micro & macro-economic environment in terms of their influence on decision making on a range of business organisations. It will examine the national, European and wider international economic environment.
Understanding Business
This module will provide students with an introduction to business, key aspects of a range of business operations, and an awareness of how to manage people to achieve organisational objectives.
Accounting and Finance
This module represents a very broad introduction to the nature and applications of accounting in business and other organisations. It is aimed at students having no prior experience of accounting, and will provide a working knowledge of accounting concepts and practices, as well as forming the basis for further, more detailed studies.
