Introduction

In recent years, the area of clinical sciences progress rapidly, and new knowledge in the medical sciences has been integrated into the therapy and prevention of disease and health promotion. This program aims to produce clinical researchers with experience in advanced research and to produce specialized innovative research works in the various areas of clinical science, which would ultimately be translated into the treatment and therapy of patients. During the period of study, students will learn how to conduct clinical research in their interested field of clinical practice by means of valid design and methodology and in compliance with research ethical standards and publication ethics.

The M.Sc./Ph.D. in Clinical Sciences is the research-based international programs offered by faculty from a variety of scientific disciplines from both pre-clinical and clinical departments at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. This program was established in 2015 and aims to produce clinical researchers with experience in advanced research and to produce specialized innovative research works in the various areas of clinical sciences. This program aims to cultivate competent clinical researchers for society and be able to contribute to the scientific community both nationally and internationally.

During the period of study, students will learn how to conduct clinical research in their interested field of clinical practice by means of valid design and methodology and in compliance with research ethical, scientific, and practical standards. Ph.D. graduates are positioned to be able to lead the teams and become independent investigators after graduation. In addition, the students with high potential can be enrolled in the available clinical training programs while they run their clinical research.

The learning concept of the program is in line with that of outcome-based education and ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) criteria.
