    Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue careers as personal trainers in various settings, including gyms and private facilities. Other options include health and wellness coaching and developing bespoke training programs for clients.

This course is a progression course for students who are already working in the fitness industry and/or have studied fitness instruction at level 2. This course is designed to provide students with the skills and advanced knowledge needed to work with a range of clientele that require instruction to meet a range of needs in different environments.

If you have a passion for physical activity, exercise have studied at level 2 in fitness industry courses, and you enjoy interacting with people with a range of needs then this course is for you. This course will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work unsupervised as a personal trainer in the sport and leisure industry.

The course is run from September – June and run over 3 days a week.

Work Experience in an active leisure environment is mandatory and 1 day a week on your timetable to allow for this.

During the course, you will have the opportunity to visit different gyms and health clubs as well as meeting past students who have gone onto be very successful as Personal trainers and have worked all over the world and will be happy to share their experiences and offer advice.

Maths and English sessions will also be part of the programme and will be integrated into lessons. For students who have not achieved a GCSE grade 4 on starting the course maths and English lessons alongside the course will be a mandatory requirement for all students that are 16-18 years of age at the start of the programme.
