The course is for the spa or beauty professional who wants to progress into management or is presently in a senior position but wishes to gain the skills and qualifications necessary to be a more competent leader. The course is fast track, with face to face lectures and online independent learning.

There is a skills gap for spa managers within the growing spa industry. Recent research from the GWI measured the global spa industry to be worth a massive £79 billion, with a continued growth since 2013 with 16,000 more spas and as a result 230,000 more jobs. These industry developments pose significant challenges with a considerable shortage of experienced and qualified spa managers. In 2012 GSWS research evidenced that there are 180,000 spa manager positions but only 4,000 students training for those positions. This highlights the huge opportunities for a person with a spa management qualification with such high demand in the spa industry, which is forecasted to continue in growth.
