The Marine technology profile of this Master’s program will prepare you to guide the future evolution of the shipping industry, making it the most efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly means of transportation possible.

The global economy runs on shipping. Every day, ships transport huge quantities of raw materials and manufactured goods around the world. Optimizing the shipping industry over the next few decades is therefore a great and pressing engineering challenge. In addition, the emerging field of ocean energy also poses huge demands — the development and design of new types of floating marine structures, both offshore and subsea.

The focus is on ships and offshore structures but is equally attractive to those with a general interest in strength and hydrodynamic analysis and systems engineering. By selecting a particular combination of the courses offered in the program — “Stability and Design Basis for Marine Structures”, “Naval Architecture”, “Ship Resistance and Propulsion”, “Structural Engineering” and “Wave Loads and Seakeeping”, the program also offers the possibility to graduate as a Naval architect.
