Introduction

The Graduate Program in Microbial Biology (PPGBM) at the CEUMA University to train qualified, competent, and ethical human resources who can provide services with a standard of excellence in research, teaching, and extension through the integration of the various sub-areas of Microbiology and their interfaces (Immunology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology, and Pharmacology, etc.). Currently, the course has an area of ​​concentration (Microbial Biology) and three lines of research: (i) Mechanisms of pathogenicity and pathogen-host interaction; (ii) Molecular and phenotypic characterization of microorganisms; (iii) Bioactive products. The curricular structure contemplates interdisciplinarity offering disciplines articulated with the desired profile to the graduate of the course, area of ​​concentration, and lines of research.
