Diploma in Architectural Technology
A Diploma in Architectural Technology from Centennial College gives students an education involving a wide spectrum of skills such as: drawings for residential and commercial buildings, using computer technology, working with approval authorities, and environment and energy conservation. These skills are used for a career in the construction industry.
Courses taken during the Architectural Technology diploma include Mathematics for Architecture, Global Citizenship, Construction Health and Safety, and Builders and Contractors.
Students then may use this knowledge in a paid position in the architectural technology field for up to 12 months. Upon completion of the program, graduates are able to join the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO) and the Ontario Association for Applied Architectural Sciences (OAAAS). Graduates of the Architectural Technology program find employment in the following fields:
